What kind of fuckery is this

School is officially over!!! Well, for a month, but I shall enjoy because things can only get worse from here on. :D

I can't believe the first semester is already finished, omg. I'm home now, freaking out over my optional courses for next semester (WHAT'S THE DEAL university. Two spots and 44 people trying to get in?). There are loads of fantastically amazing subjects such as Russian Literature, Italian Culture, History of Everything Ever, Archaeology of Rome (!!!), Poetry & Shit etc etc but a lot of those just exist on the internet but don't have an actual offering. And among those that do, the class is either at a time I can't be there or the competition for a spot is ridiculous. You get more priority the longest you've been there, and since it's my first year, I'm screwed. Detail, though: I've got to complete 720 hours of optional courses through my major. HOW I ASK YOU. They don't even let me take Astronomy! Ah, public school, you amuse me so.

My plans for July:
- Finish reading Eco, and then: A room with a view, Havemercy and Shadows Return plus something else to be decided, and the design books that have been waiting here for months (oh shit I'm never going to finish Hobsbawn, I should just accept this)
- Study Italian like I'm serious about it
- Write stuff
- Clean my computer (um. I guess I could just do that now)
- Kill the guy responsible for my discount on my bus trips (guess what, I don't have a discount yet, motherfucker)
- OH YEAH, SEE MY FRIENDS. That'd be nice, before we forget each other's faces.

Ok I don't remember exactly, but I think you guys have two months off over there? Well anyway, enjoy!!!

Book meme!

The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed. Well let's see.

1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicise those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them ;-)

I don't think Jason Mraz's new album is as good as his old stuff, but I'm a little biased cause I think he's written some of the best music out there and everyone in the world ever should hear his voice because it's unbelievably gorgeous and ugh. ♥

That said, there's a song in We Sing We Dance We Steal Things with Colbie Caillat which is one my favorites. Two of the sweetest voices I've ever heard.

Lucky - Jason Mraz feat. Colbie Caillat @ 4shared

Enjoy!

My life, lol.

What has been this week, ugh. Everything that could've happened (forgetting my wallet, shower water turning freezing cold, accidental razor cuts, cough and fever, suffocating on the bus, having to wait my roommate to turn off the lights at 4am, a couple more papers to deliver next week, dropping yogurt on my pants, and so on), well, has. D:

The best part of my week was getting home yesterday to find a package from[info]penceyprepster!!! She sent me Panic, Hushies and The Cab stickers, a book (A room with a view) which I'll get to once I'm free from school, an O Magazine (LOL, thank you again bb, they're so expensive here), a 11:11 bracelet and a lovely card for my birthday. ♥

Sorry I haven't been commenting on any posts! It's just that I find myself having to do random stuff like my Philoshophy paper, which consists of justifying why China should give Tibet their autonomy back according to Kant and Hume (which until very recently was just my favorite Lost character). And my group has an artist's book to deliver on Thursday, except it's not -- oh, what's the word -- done. At all. DDD:

And I'm really trying to finish The name of the rose this weekend so I can buy Havemercy and Shadows Return next week. I don't know who in my f-list is a fantasy fan, but I'm pimping Havemercy to everyone even though I haven't read it yet, cause I know it's going to be awesome. (Mainly cause one of the authors is the writer of [info]shoebox_project, the greatest fic there has ever been.) And this book -- metal dragons and slash, okay, you cannot go wrong with this combo.

Ok, back to the dalai-lama. Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

PS: Jon would eat Spencer, you guys. Because he's the youngest so his meat is still tender. jansknkwaljk I can't make this shit up.

I managed to forget my wallet (with my money and credit card - to buy food for the week, you know) at home. At another city. Lovely. DDDD:

On better news, I didn't fail Sociology.

Yay, the Tbibute is at 87%! Yes, I'm calling it the Tbibute forever now. XD

Just got at the boarding house after traveling under some crazy, unbelievable rain on the road. There were lines of cars waiting for it to slow down on the side of the road. ("Acostamento": don't know how to say this. ENGLISH MOTHERFUCKER DO YOU SPEAK IT.)

Now it's time for open letters of Very Important Matters, as most things I post.

1. Go to your desktop and press the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key).
2. Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and doing a Paste (CTRL + V).
3. Post the picture on your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop if you want. You can explain why you prefer such a look or why it is full of icons. Things like that.
4. Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktops as well. (Anyone who wants to, feel free!)

!!!!! I really want/need The String Quartet's Tribute to Pretty. Odd. !!!!!! Omg I love these things, this one's going to be so pretty (no pun intended). Someone buy and rip it, please? :D

Ugh this is the week for Panic, LOL. First Snoop Dog (will that ever not be ridic, horrifying and amazing at the same time?) then half-naked pictures (I think all the comments were already made. Spencer probably woke in the middle of the night with all the people screaming his name across the world) then Pete suggests "The Return of the Rosevest" for the next album's title (UM, please don't okay.) and then the String Quartet! Nggnnh.

It's so hard to get to work, JFC.

You know when you wake up and realize you and Spencer weren't, in fact, browsing for shoes? Or that you and Jon Walker... never mind.

Tell the world about it! You know you want to.

watch that amazing Spencer vid which is all around! I wanna be part of the flailing too! Which reminds me, I've read the most amazing Panic fic today, Brendon/Spencer but mostly gen (um, yeah, I might've skipped the sex part, LOL. Idk, Brencer just seems weird to me, even though

[info]bittersweetrick tries to convince me otherwise). Here: Close your eyes and drive. It's incredible and I've got to say (fluff whore that I am) that I throughly enjoy angsty!Brendon. I just love when they suffer, okay.

And oh wow I just ate the most epic sandwich ever. Ugh cannot move. (There's only so much food you can find that doesn't require any kind of cooking and, preferably, have no need for forks and knives. I can't take this for much longer! Lalala vacation now, please).

I'm going to skip tomorrow's second class! YAY! Nothing like the end of semester. Though there are things piling up on one corner, others are ending. I had my last - considering I pass the class, of course - Sociology test today, and it was way better than the first, which I failed miserably (guess Marx > Durkheim). History of Editing and Portuguese are all closed up. And for the others I just need to finish the papers and books and stuff, which is a lot, but better than sitting around in class. LOL at myself, one semester and I'm already complaining. I don't think I'll ever stop marking holidays in the calendar.

Seriously, you guys, SPENCERSMITH'S VIDEO. Rip? Please?

Ummmm, idk, gardening at night, just didn't grow?

See you later!!! Hopefully tomorrow morning when I'll be in my bed. XD XD XD

[info]skyfalling gave me G:

1. Oasis - Guess God thinks I'm Abel
You could be my enemy, I guess there's still time.

2. R.E.M. - Gardening at night
I see your money on the floor, I felt the pocket change.

3. The Smiths - Girl Afraid
Prudence never pays, and everything she wants costs money.

4. Fall Out Boy - Golden
And I knew that the lights of the city were too heavy for me.

5. Imogen Heap - Goodnight and Go
Why d'ya have to be so cute? It's impossible to ignore you.

LOL I'm not posting the original meme (you know, the epic one probably around your flist already) cause I can't waste any more time voluntarily. But if you want a letter, ask me. :D

Oh wow, afternoon = wasted. I had to slap myself awake from my nap today. I bitch-slapped myself. Ugh don't know where all this sleepiness came from. ;___;

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want -- good or bad. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

It must've been thirty minutes ago when I wrote: "ONE WEEK. NO CLASSES. MUCH HAPPY. :DDD"

DNW to wake up tomorrow to Sociology and the cold. It is cold here, at least for our standards. Weather people say 11°C (don't ask me to convert it to Farenheit, I've forgotten how ever since my last Chemistry class) tomorrow. UGH. I like cold but I'm not genetically prepared for it.

I don't even have anything amusing to offer you DDD:

Have a good Monday, f-list (if that's possible),

"Bla bla... Japan... bands... melodies... touring... all over the world (though I could point you a place where you haven't been)... what's my worst high school memory?"

I know it's terrible, but I love when he starts talking about how much of a loser he was in high school. XD And like [info]penceyprepster said, "he kept saying the guy's full name like he wanted all his teeny bopper fans to hunt the guy down and make his life a living hell or something". L.O.L.

Also: "Because I feel you guys aren't asked enough random questions... honestly?" ahahahaha.

Invisibility. OF COURSE. I love how his brain works.

OMG!!!
I got a surprise party, you guys! Ahahaha I was so surprised it actually took me a second, when everybody appeared, to remember it was my birthday! LOL Now that I look back, it was pretty obvious, but the possibility never crossed my mind.

So, yes, complete shock. Between that and Lost I think my face's frozen like :OOO

Piccies )

Today I'm going back to São Paulo. There's only one more month before vacation and although that makes me glad beyond words, I'm also desperate. There is too much to do. I can't believe it. Four weeks are nothing. *tears hair off* JFC. Who else also spent the semester procrastinating in livejournal and let all the work for later? Raise your hands! o/

2. Go to Google Images or Photobucket and search for that word.
3. Reply to this post with one of the pictures on the first page of results [don't tell me the word].
4. If you want, put this in your own journal, so that I can do the same.
